Triton enemies? Maybe you regenerated those body parts, but not the 40 to 60 bleed damage you're still taking from losing them in the first place. Heavily armored Arthrons? Yeah, with no arms and maybe no legs. It is commonly the bare minimum for me to eliminate half the enemies' health pool and leave them with between 70 and 80 combined burn and bleed damage to deal with. Any enemies you hit with the splash on these things are going to have their unarmored body parts disabled in addition to taking weapon damage and being set on fire. They are extremely cheap to produce and maintain, have an excellent range (especially if you manually aim the cone), and they absolutely devastate any unarmored body parts while additionally creating an effective barrier for any remaining troops. Simply because I've not seen anyone say anything about them yet: USE THE FLAMETHROWERS MAN. Using it with their "extra 30 shred on your next attack" ability seems really strong. Im about to have another one with my berserker/heavy duo class unit. I love it for all the same reasons you listed. I got it reverse engineered, and that thing is a beast. I just snagged the NJ flame thrower heavy weapon from a boss enemy on a diplomacy mission. But I immediately shit-canned the base sniper in favor of the Synedrion laser one. Some of my assaults have an extra sniper as a secondary, but I just don't use them as much. I also have that on a biochemist assault. So it inflicts virus and acid and usually bleeding if used on body parts. I have it on a highly accurate assault class with biochemist. My most used is the living acid weapon from the DLC. Hel II Canon: Basically the same reasons als Slam Strike: Rather low damage given the low range with shock and shred values that can easily be achieved otherwise. Very low range, low damage for a shotgun, there's better weapons with stun effekt and super low ammo Slam Strike Shotgun: Tbh, I just never got it's point. Probably Sniper Rifles (Mostly Synderion and the NJ piercing one):I simply have plenty of snipers and taking out body parts (+ armor strip) is great Grenade Launcher: So many advantages: Long range, AoE, Shred, Blast, great with Boom Blast, no line of sight required Yes, weak against armor, but doesn't matter if you can strip that before. Disciples of Anu Shotgun: Because it's just soooo much damage. But maybe exclude the Ancient weapons, bc they are usually just strong improvements of other existing weapons. So feel free to post like 2-3 of your most and least used weapons and explain why you do (not) use them so frequently. I'm curious how other people are playing Phoenix Point and am wondering, which weapons you use the most and the least.
